WoW Item Upgrades
More commonly referred to as "upping"--are an enchantment and item that can be incorporated into weapons and armor pieces, increasing their power. These upgrades can increase the gauge of an item by a specific number of points. Their cost increases with their rarity.
A perfectly rolled version of this armor is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community due to its ability to minimize the damage caused by weapons.
Type-restricted upgrades
Upgrades are an essential part of the equipment crafting process. Upgrades can be used to enhance the stats of an item or increase its strength or provide an added benefit. They also affect the item's appearance. Some upgrades are universal while others are governed by specific rules for armor and weapons. Making the wrong upgrade can destroy a excellent weapon, and could even lead to it becoming unusable.
The general rule is that you can only upgrade an item of equipment to the standard of the most advanced gear in its category. This means that you can upgrade helms, body armors, gloves and shields to the level of their most elite counterparts. Weapons can be upgraded up to the level equivalent of a sword. This does not increase the weapon's ability to deal damage, but it can decrease the value of its trade.
To upgrade an item, you must spend flightstones and crests. The amount of both depends on the level of the item and slot. For example, an upgrade to a sword will cost more flightstones than upgrading bracers or a cloak. You can also avail discounts on the number of flightstones and crests needed to upgrade an item.
The upgrade of an item will fill up its diamond-shaped indicator. Each step increases the Tier level by one-third. The maximum Tier level is Tier 3. It could take a few upgrades to reach this level, based on the item. It is crucial to remember that any process that can be used to mount a disk must not be performed while upgrading. You must also make sure that the disk you're upgrading is not being used as an system drive.
Enchantment allows you to transform white or Common items to blue or rare ones. Eleanor's Enchantment Shop located in the Capital District is where you can do this. This procedure does not add gem or rune slots to the equipment, but it does change its size. It increases the size of the equipment by the size of a creature 2 categories smaller, for example the Blaster Pistol is deemed small, while the Stormtrooper Armor is Medium.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades that can be applied to any kind of equipment. This includes armor, weapons and trinkets. Upgrade components are available through Side Quests or random drops. Universal upgrades can be either temporary or permanent, and they can be combined with Power Ups. They can also be branching or linear.
Universal Upgrades start when "internal technology" can provide sentient beings new capabilities they are not likely to develop naturally. Examples of internal technology are implants or prostheses. This type of upgrade is different from medical internal technology which is designed to restore the natural capabilities. It's the beginning of the process that will alter civilizations completely. The universal upgrade is long and complicated. However the process is divided into two distinct types: full success and partial failure.
This is similar to the way resort upgrades work at Disney or Universal. In the case of WDW these upgrades are usually due to operational needs such as overbooking or room availability. In the case Universal, it could be to relocate guests to a different resort that is open. This is not intended as an insult however given the current situation, it may be impossible to avoid.
Unlike Runes, Sigils and Jewels, which are only applicable to certain types of equipment (armor trinkets, weapons, or), universal upgrades can be applied to any gear. They can also be applied to several items at a time. This makes them more flexible than other types of upgrades. This can be a problem when upgrading items along the same gear path. It will increase the item levels of all pieces along the path.
Prior to performing item upgrading , it is important to stop the PowerShell Universal service and delete the application files that are already in use. Then you can install new files using the GetChildItem-Recurse command or Unblock-File. It is also recommended to perform a basic checks against your PSU server to ensure that it functions correctly.
Jewels
Jewels can be added to weapons, armor or other accessories. They provide various stat bonuses and secondary effects based on the gemstone and reagent that is used to make them. They can be found in Golden Chests, Rift Incursions as well as V Blood Carriers, and regular enemies. They can also be purchased by a Master Craftsman karma or gold. Jewels can be created using a jewelry table by using five of the same reagent type and 1 gem to make an item with a higher or lower tier. This is similar to upgrading a stone a gemcrafting desk.

Jewel tiers are determined by the number of modifiers they possess, with higher-tier jewels having more than lower-tier ones. The primary effect is determined by the jewel's tier, whereas the secondary effect is random. The players can use luck potions in order to increase their chances of obtaining more beneficial secondary effects.
Like other upgrade components jewels can be put into an item using an appropriate socket to boost the. A Garnet Jewel and a Garnet Stone both boost strength, but a Garnet Jewel also boosts a player's strong attacks. Jewels can be placed in every level of weapon, armor, and accessory slots, and some trinkets of rarer or exotic nature that require a slot that is not used.
As with other DM mechanics, gems can help to ensure that items are special to their owners. Through offering a variety of different upgrade paths, jewels allow players to customize their equipment and find the right combination for them. They can upgrade their gear with new gems if they feel the existing set is no longer appropriate.
Requirements
The upgrade of items in WoW lets players increase the item level of weapons, equipment and trinkets to their current item level by using specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor resources. These upgrades boost the stats of items and some have special effects. (For example Dolphin's grace gives swimmers a dolphin-like grace). Players can obtain these upgrades through any upgrader NPC or by salvaging the items that contain them, with different types of items dropping different upgrade components.
The upgrade process is quite complex, but simple. The player first selects the item he wishes to upgrade and then clicks the Upgrade button. A window will appear with the different upgrades available for that item. The window will display the upgrade level, the upgrade type bonus (such Tech Points or a Quality Chance) and the cost of upgrading. The bonus for upgrading will be shown below the bar which shows the upgrade level.
If a player chooses to upgrade their item, the item will be brought to the NPC who is upgrading, who will explain the process of upgrading the item. The player will then have to provide the correct currency needed for the upgrade and may be asked to provide additional items should they require it. These requirements are based on the level of manufacture and the weapon's requirements are typically stricter requirements than armor.
In addition to the required upgrade components, many upgrade recipes also have an acceptable materials list. This list shows what other upgrade components are available on the item, as well as a flag indicating whether that item can be guaranteed to boost or other effect. This is important as the value of an upgrade may vary greatly depending on its "extras. For instance an item that is properly rolled could be worth more than the non-upgraded version.
For item upgrade of upgrades that require crests or valorstones, these will be displayed in a separate listing below the main list. The number of crests and valorstones required depends on the item's level. Weapon upgrades require the most Valorstones.
